Job summary

Smartworld Developers Pvt Ltd in Gurugram is seeking an MEP Coordinator to supervise installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection across residential towers, basements, podiums, and common areas.

You will review drawings, coordinate with civil, architectural, faade, interior, and landscape teams, monitor subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and timely handover.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP activities for residential towers, commercial buildings, basements, podiums, clubhouses, and other common areas.
• Review approved drawings, shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and technical specifications before execution.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, faade, interior, and landscape teams to resolve service clashes.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of MEP works.
• Track site progress against project schedules and highlight delays to the Project Head.
• Ensure installation of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, earthing, and lightning protection as applicable to the project.
• Verify installation quality, material compliance, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Review material submittals, technical datasheets, material requisitions, and inspection requests.
• Coordinate with consultants and QA/QC teams for inspections, approvals, and closure of observations.
• Identify technical issues, raise RFIs, and coordinate timely resolution.
• Maintain daily manpower records and monitor subcontractor productivity.
• Check material availability at the work front and submit timely material requirements.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and usage of MEP materials.
• Minimize material wastage, rework, and damage to completed installations.
• Maintain daily progress updates and report constraints to the MEP Engineer.
• Ensure workers use required PPE and follow site safety procedures and permit requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe access around work areas.
• Assist with pressure testing, insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, flushing, and other applicable testing activities.
• Rectify snags and support final inspections before apartment possession and project handover.
• Protect installed MEP services during finishing works and coordinate defect rectification when required

Job description

A. Project execution and coordination

B. Technical and quality control

1. Ensure installation of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, earthing, and lightning protection as applicable to the project.
2. Verify installation quality, material compliance, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
