Job summary

Siemens in Aurangabad seeks an Executive - Mechanical Engineering with 2–3 years of experience in substation mechanical design. You will work on GIS packing, foundation design for GIS, and fabrication drawings, coordinating with customers and manufacturing teams.

You will contribute to high voltage projects, applying Excel and CAD tools like AutoCAD, Robot, and Creo while ensuring adherence to applicable standards and customer specs.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in mechanical design engineering for substations.
• Proficient in Excel and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Robot, Creo).
• Sound technical knowledge and exposure to Indian and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle all customer and factory-related mechanical engineering activities.
• Perform GIS packing and transport frame assembly design.
• Perform GIS foundation design calculations for Gas Insulated Switchgear.
• Prepare support structure fabrication drawings.
• Interact with customers to resolve queries on mechanical design calculations for GIS.
• Interact with manufacturing to resolve queries on packing, transport and fabrication of support structures.
• Work in the High Voltage Manufacturing Hub.

• You’ll be handling all Customer and Factory related Mechanical engineering activities.
• You’ll be performing GIS Packing and transport frame assembly design.
• You’ll be performing GIS Foundation design calculations for Gas Insulated Switchgear.
• You’ll be preparing Support structure fabrication drawings.
• You’ll be interacting with Customer to resolve all customer queries regarding mechanical design calculations for GIS.
• You’ll be interacting with manufacturing to resolve all queries related to Packing, Transport and fabrication of support structures.
• You’ll be working for High Voltage Manufacturing Hub.

What You Need To Make Real What Matters.

• You are a Mechanical Engineer with 2-3 years of work experience.
• You have hands-on experience in Mechanical design engineering for Substations (Air Insulated Substation / Gas Insulated Substation)
• You are proficient with Excel and well versed with tools like AutoCAD, Robot, Creo etc.
• You've sound technical knowledge and in depth understanding of international and Indian standards.
• You've hands on Mechanical design experience for multiple projects in substation design and have deep understanding of customer specification for several customers.
