Job summary

Brodersen Systems in Pune, India seeks an experienced Field Application Engineer / Tech Support Engineer to extend pre- and post-sales support to customers and the business development team.

The role covers application/solution engineering, product configuration, project design, programming, and integration with RTU/FRTU and SCADA systems. Travel up to 50% nationally/internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Base location Pune, Maharashtra.
• Willing to travel 50% nationally/internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to customers and project teams.
• Handle Application / Solution Engineering, product configuration, and design.
• Program, integrate and test systems including RTU/FRTU.
• Support SCADA/LDMS integration and FAT/SAT testing.
• Configure and test communications: IEC protocols, DNP3, Modbus.

We are looking for an experienced Field Application Engineer / Tech Support Engineer to help us efficiently extend Pre- and Post-Sales Technical support to our customers, projects, and business development team. Desired candidate should be able to take up complete responsibility of Application / Solution Engineering, Product Configuration, Project Design, Programming, and Integration.

Minimum qualifications required:

• B.E/B. Tech/ME/M. Tech in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field,
• 5-10 years of experience in Relevant Field.
• Base Location: Pune, Maharashtra.
• Willing for 50% Travelling Nationally /Internationally

Requirements:

• Proficient in Utility Protocols Including IEC61850, IEC60870-5-101/103/104, DNP3 and Modbus,
• Proficient in Configuration, installation, and Commissioning of RTU/FRTU
• Proficient in Logic Programming languages as IEC61131-3 (FBD, LD, IL, SFC, ST)
• Experience in Substation Automation,
• Experience in IED / Relay Configuration and Integration with RTU / FRTU
• Experience in Meters / MFM Configuration and Integration with RTU / FRTU
• Experience in LDMS Configuration (Making IO Lists & Database)
• Experience in RTU/FRTU Interface with SCADA / LDMS and Remote Connection with SLDC on IEC60870-5-101/104
• Experience in Product, Project Testing and Troubleshooting including FAT, SAT
• Hands on with Various Testing and simulation tools and utility software like Putty, Modscan, ModSIM, ModPol, TMW Test Harness, IED Scout, DNP3 Test Tools.
• Working Knowledge of Communication devices including Industrial Ethernet Switches, Modems, Routers, Firewalls
• Exposure with Electrical Design Software like Auto CAD, ePlan etc.
• Exposure with Control Panel Integration and Testing.
• Exposure with SCADA / HMI Design and Development
• Exposure with Application / Solution Engineering Including Product Selection, Architecture, Application / Success Stories.

Preferred / Advantageous Skills:

• IT & Network configuration including Ethernet Switches, Firewall, Servers and Workstations.
