Job summary

IKEA Bengaluru is seeking a Subject Matter Expert for SAP Procure-to-Pay to own and drive development within this area. You will ensure the SAP P2P domain supports how we operate, enabling data-driven decisions across the business.

You will collaborate with business leaders, architects, project managers and end-users to translate needs into practical SAP solutions using S4 HANA MM, LE and VIM, maintaining a proactive ownership mindset and delivering measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on S4 HANA Procure-to-Pay (P2P) experience with MM/LO/LE modules.
• Knowledge of VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) and integration with FICO & SD is desirable.
• In-depth understanding of S4 HANA P2P and Retail Inventory Management.
• Experience with SAP integrations with legacy systems and troubleshooting.
• Experience in creating and maintaining key delivery artifacts.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with ownership and problem-solving abilities.
• Track record in similar roles delivering tangible results.

Our Group Digital, Procure to Pay team plays a key role in ensuring that Digital Products & Services works effectively for the business.

We are now looking for a Subject Matter Expert to take ownership and drive development within this area. In this role, you will ensure that the SAP Procure-to-Pay domain supports how we operate within IKEA’s technology-process-delivery ecosystem.

You will work closely with business leaders, solution and technical architects, project managers, end-users, and cross-functional teams to understand needs, translate them into solutions, and drive adoption across the organization. You bring strong communication skills and thrive in both technical and business discussions. You understand how to identify gaps, design solutions, and ensure that systems evolve with the business. Above all, you take ownership, show initiative, and are driven to deliver solutions that create real impact.

Furthermore, we believe that you bring:

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in S4 HANA Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, with deep expertise in SAP MM, LO, LE modules.
• Working knowledge of VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) and integration touch points with Financial (FICO) & Sales and Distribution (SD) is highly desirable.
• Profound understanding of S4 HANA Procure to Pay processes and Inventory Management in Retail Industry.
• Experience with SAP Integrations with legacy systems, troubleshooting, debugging codes.
• Experience in creating, reviewing & maintaining key solution delivery artifacts
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• A proactive mindset with strong ownership and problem‑solving ability
• Track record of working in a similar role and delivering impactful results

Nice to have:

• Knowledge within Master Data Management (MDM) & industry best practices
• Experience with Finance & Payment oprations in SAP
• Awareness of trends shaping the area (e.g. SAP BTP, Joule, RPA, RISE)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Subject Matter Expert – Procure to Pay, you will play a key role in ensuring that the SAP Procure-to-Pay domain delivers value to the business and supports efficient, data‑driven decision‑making.

You will take ownership of your area, continuously improving it by aligning capabilities with business needs. You will work hands‑on with S4 HANA MM, LE, VIM modules and other tools like JIRA, SNOW, Solman etc ensuring solutions support how we actually operate.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across business leaders, solution and technical architects, project managers, end-users, and cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment and driving adoption.

This role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, where your work directly impacts the delivery of high‑quality solutions, technological advancements, and the organization’s growth and efficiency.
