Functional Manager – SAP Master Data Governance

For this role, we believe you have:

1. Formal qualifications in computer science or any engineering equivalent.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience as SAP MDM Manager.
3. Handsome experience in SAP MDM/MDG.
4. Experience in working in an Agile and DevOps working set-up.
5. Experience as a manager of software engineering teams and strong leadership skills.
6. Experience with leading in change.

We are looking for:

1. Extensive knowledge of Data structures like Article Master, Business partner, Enterprise data, etc.
2. Extensive knowledge of SAP MDM architecture and principles like data governance, data modeling, and data quality.
3. Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and best practices.
4. Experience in setting up Master Data policies in retail companies.
5. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related areas.
6. Good knowledge of how to assess the enterprise application portfolio-landscape and consult on tool optimization(s).
7. Good knowledge of functional and data migration testing.
8. Ability to participate in multi-vendor governance, change advisory boards (CAB), competency assessment in the subject, and competency maturity planning for the team.
9. Ability of agile working and continuous improvement within the software engineering function, encouraging simplicity, efficiency, ownership, and accountability.
10. Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop team members.
11. Ability to actively acquire new knowledge and skills and champion new methods, digital systems, and processes to improve performance.

A day in your life with us:

Accountable for designing and consulting internal teams on Master Data Management COE set up within our digital organization. Provide Data governance practices knowledge, architectural leadership, and coach the teams in high-class standards for software engineering and operations. Help the teams drive a technology strategy, adhere to modern software engineering and service management principles, utilize the proper tools, and automate everything to enable the specified business outcomes.

You will be:

1. Accountable for setting up SAP Master Data Management COE.
2. Developing Ingka SAP Master Data Management strategy and roadmap.
3. Assisting in defining data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity and consistency across SAP systems.
4. Leading the design and implementation of SAP MDM solutions, including data models, hierarchies, taxonomies, and workflows.
5. Leading data transformation activities within large SAP S/4HANA business transformation programs.
6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and data stewards, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
7. Establishing data quality metrics and monitoring mechanisms to identify and resolve data issues.
8. Developing and delivering training programs to educate end-users on data management best practices and SAP MDM processes.
9. Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to SAP MDM, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
10. Collaborating with external vendors and consultants as needed for SAP MDM implementation and support.
11. Managing outsourcing partners for day-to-day jobs.
12. Running the Governance with Partner ecosystem.
13. Responsible for recruitment, performance, competence, and career development of individuals in the team.
14. Helping build a digital mindset and a service engineering culture that is accountability and results-oriented.
15. Encouraging the team to continuously improve quality processes.
16. Managing all technical resources and capacity plans within budget and time frame.
