Job summary

IKEA is seeking a Subject Matter Expert – O2C & Invoicing to join our Group Digital organisation and help shape, develop, and continuously improve digital solutions supporting Finance across Ingka Group.

In this role you will bridge Finance and Digital teams, own the Finance domain, and work with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure compliant, scalable, and user-friendly processes.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in Finance process design or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of Finance processes in international environments.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance or related platforms.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional solutions.
• Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and implementation activities.

Responsibilities

About this work area

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert – O2C & Invoicing to join our Group Digital organisation and help shape, develop, and continuously improve digital solutions supporting Finance across Ingka Group.

In this role, you will combine strong Finance process knowledge with an understanding of digital platforms, systems, data, and technology. You will act as a bridge between Finance stakeholders and Digital teams, ensuring that our solutions support efficient, compliant, scalable, and user-friendly ways of working.

You will take ownership of the Finance domain within the digital product and service landscape, working closely with business stakeholders, product managers, solution architects, technical teams, project managers, and end users across the organisation.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Act as the subject matter expert for Finance processes within Group Digital.
• Translate business needs and Finance requirements into clear digital solutions.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA Finance and related digital platforms.
• Contribute to Finance process areas such as:
  • Order to Cash
  • Invoicing setup
  • E-Invoicing setup
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Sales reconciliation & Order management
  • Intercompany accounting
  • Financial closing and consolidation
• Analyse current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to define requirements, process designs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution documentation.
• Support solution design, testing, deployment, and adoption of new Finance capabilities.
• Ensure alignment between Finance processes, master data, integrations, reporting, controls, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with solution and technical architects on integrations between SAP, finance applications, data platforms, and legacy systems.
• Support incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and problem management.
• Contribute to release planning, change management, training, and communication activities.
• Maintain relevant process, functional, and solution documentation.
• Promote standardisation, automation, data quality, and a consistent user experience across Ingka Group.
• Follow developments in Finance technology, including automation, analytics, cloud platforms, AI, SAP BTP, RPA, and intelligent business processes.

About you

We believe you have:

• Several years of experience in Finance process design, Finance systems, consulting, or digital product development.
• Strong knowledge of Finance processes in an international or multi-company environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Logistics, SAP SD, or comparable Invoicing and Finance platforms.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Order to Cash
  • SAP Sales & distribution
  • Accounts Receivable
  • General Ledger
  • Tax
  • Intercompany accounting
  • Financial reporting and closing
• Experience translating business requirements into functional solutions.
• Understanding of integrations between Finance systems and other business applications.
• Experience with testing, troubleshooting, defect management, and implementation activities.
• Ability to create and maintain functional specifications, process maps, solution documentation, and training material.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively with both Finance professionals and technical teams.
• A proactive mindset, strong ownership, and a willingness to take decisions and drive activities forward.
• Experience working in agile, product-oriented, or cross-functional environments.
• Fluency in English.

It would be an advantage if you also have:

• Experience from retail, shared services, or a large international organisation.
• Knowledge of SAP integration technologies, APIs, middleware, or SAP BTP.
• Experience with SAP CAR, tax platforms, invoice-management solutions, or Blackline.
• Experience with data analytics, reporting, or Finance master-data management.
• Knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements, and financial compliance.
• Experience with automation, RPA, AI-enabled Finance processes, or process mining.
• Familiarity with agile product development and digital transformation programmes.
