Responsibilities

• Counsel students on study-abroad opportunities, courses, universities, and career pathways
• Conduct personalized one-on-one counselling sessions with students and parents
• Understand students’ academic profiles, interests, and career aspirations and recommend suitable international education options
• Guide students through university selection, applications, documentation, and admissions processes
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, universities, and other stakeholders
• Stay updated on study-abroad destinations, university requirements, admission processes, scholarships, and standardized tests
• Take ownership of student journeys and ensure a high-quality counselling experience from enquiry to admission
• Collaborate with the internal team to deliver a seamless student experience

CAREER ZONE Worldwide is looking for a passionate and driven Study Abroad Counsellor to join our team in Coimbatore.

With 28+ years of experience in overseas education, we have helped thousands of students navigate their journey from choosing the right course and university to preparing for standardized tests and successfully transitioning to life abroad.

What you’ll do

• Counsel students on study-abroad opportunities, courses, universities, and career pathways
• Conduct personalized one-on-one counselling sessions with students and parents
• Understand students’ academic profiles, interests, and career aspirations and recommend suitable international education options
• Guide students through university selection, applications, documentation, and admissions processes
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, universities, and other stakeholders
• Stay updated on study-abroad destinations, university requirements, admission processes, scholarships, and standardized tests
• Take ownership of student journeys and ensure a high-quality counselling experience from enquiry to admission
• Collaborate with the internal team to deliver a seamless student experience

Who we’re looking for

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Strong student counselling / career counselling skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• A genuine interest in international education and student success
• The ability to understand student aspirations and translate them into practical education pathways
• Strong follow-up, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
• A customer-centric approach and the ability to build trust with students and parents
• Knowledge of study-abroad programs, universities, admissions, IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/GRE/GMAT/SAT is an advantage
• Prior experience in study-abroad counselling, education consultancy, admissions, or student counselling is preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counselling, HR, or a related field is an advantage
