Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for our Bangalore-based Civil & Structural team. You will engage in structural analysis, design, and delivery for high-rise projects alongside senior engineers and project managers.

You'll work with reinforced concrete and steel, perform wind/seismic analysis, and coordinate with architects, MEP, and other disciplines using ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and Revit BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in civil engineering; master’s in structural engineering preferred.
• Experience in tall/high-rise building design and analysis.
• Knowledge of wind and seismic design, IS codes, and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for high-rise/tall buildings using RC/steel.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with architecture, MEP, facade, and geotechnical teams.
• Review BIM/CAD models to ensure design intent and accuracy.
• Support design reviews, meetings, and client coordination.

Structural Design Engineer.

We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join our Bangalore-based Civil & Structural team. The role will involve structural analysis, design, and delivery of high-rise and tall building projects, working closely with senior engineers, project managers, architects, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design of high-rise and tall building structures using reinforced concrete and/or structural steel.
• Perform design calculations for gravity and lateral load-resisting systems, including wind and seismic loading.
• Develop efficient structural schemes considering stability, constructability, performance, and project requirements.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
• Work on structural systems such as reinforced concrete frames, shear walls, core walls, transfer structures, columns, beams, slabs, and foundations.
• Carry out modelling and analysis using software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, MEP, façade, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review BIM/CAD models and drawings to ensure design intent and structural requirements are accurately incorporated.
• Assist in resolving technical issues, design changes, and coordination clashes during project delivery.
• Support senior engineers in design reviews, technical meetings, and client coordination.
• Ensure deliverables comply with applicable Indian and international structural design codes and project specifications.
• Maintain quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of assigned engineering outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Relevant experience in structural design of tall buildings/high-rise buildings.
• Strong understanding of structural behaviour, load paths, lateral stability, wind, seismic design, and foundation systems.
• Hands‑on experience with ETABS and SAFE is preferred; knowledge of STAAD.Pro/SAP2000 is an advantage.
• Good understanding of reinforced concrete and steel structural design.
• Experience with Revit Structure/BIM workflows is desirable.
• Knowledge of relevant IS codes and/or international standards such as Eurocodes, ASCE, ACI, as applicable.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and international project environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience working on high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, hotel, or other complex tall building projects will be an advantage. Exposure to projects involving complex cores, transfer structures, irregular geometry, wind/seismic analysis, and international clients is preferred.
