Job summary

KSB Tech is seeking a rigorous FEA/Structural Analyst in Pune to perform static and dynamic stress analyses, assess rotor dynamics, and develop analytical tools. The role involves preparing technical reports for clients and proposing design improvements based on findings.

Applicants should have strong structural mechanics knowledge, experience with ANSYS, and exposure to C++/Java (optional). Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and finite element analysis.
• Experience with ANSYS or similar FEA packages.
• Programming knowledge in C++ and Java (optional).

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic stress analysis of components and equipment subjected to pressure, thermal, wind, seismic, and other loadings using ANSYS.
• Determine natural frequencies using commercial analysis software and/or in-house developed tools.
• Analyze rotor dynamic behavior using commercial software and/or in-house developed tools.
• Perform analyses in accordance with applicable international codes, standards, and customer-specific requirements & Prepare analysis reports as technical documentation for client submission.
• Recommend design modifications, improvements to design, and construction engineers based on analytical findings.
• Develop new or modify existing software/firmware tools required for structural and rotor dynamic analysis.
• Work independently or under partial/full technical guidance, depending on project requirements.
• Regularly communicate project status and progress updates to clients and other stakeholders.

Travel domestically / internationally to customer, manufacturing, testing, and operational sites as required by project and customer needs

Preferred candidate profile

• Fundamental knowledge of structural mechanics & FEA
• Experience with ANSYS or similar FEA packages
• Knowledge of programming in C++ & JAVA (optional)
