Job summary

PeopleStrong in Chennai seeks a Structural Design Engineer to support analysis, design and coordination of structural steel systems for industrial, commercial, and data center projects. The role offers opportunity to develop expertise in structural engineering, steel design, BIM coordination, and project delivery.

You will assist in preparing calculations, design deliverables and engineering reports while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and timely execution.

Qualifications

• ME degree or equivalent in structural or civil engineering.
• Experience with structural design concepts is desirable.
• Familiarity with steel connection concepts, analysis fundamentals, and load paths.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analysis and design of structural steel components including beams, columns, bracing, mezzanines, and platforms.
• Prepare design deliverables and calculations under supervision.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and timely execution.

Job Description

The Structural Steel Design Engineer will support the analysis, design, and coordination of structural steel systems for industrial, commercial, and data center projects. The role offers an opportunity to develop expertise in structural engineering, steel design, BIM coordination, and project delivery while working under the guidance of experienced engineers.

The candidate will assist in preparing calculations, design deliverables, engineering reports, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Structural Design Support

• Assist in the analysis and design of structural steel components including:
  • Beams
  • Columns
  • Bracing systems
  • Mezzanines
  • Equipment support structures
  • Platforms and walkways
  • Secondary steel members
• Prepare structural calculations under the supervision of senior engineers.
