Structural Engineer

We are looking for a Structural Engineer with expertise in detailed design for a diverse range of buildings to join our technical team based in Mumbai. The role involves structural design elements, detailed engineering design of a wide variety of buildings in India and beyond, coordination with technicians on CAD and Revit drawings, representation at client meetings, delivering work within deadlines and budget, ensuring appropriate design decisions, and coordinating with project team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design elements on projects as required.
• Undertake detailed engineering design of a wide variety of buildings in India and further afield.
• Work closely with technicians on CAD and Revit drawings.
• Represent Buro Happold at meetings with the client, other professionals, and suppliers.
• Deliver excellent project work within agreed deadlines and within budget.
• Ensure appropriate service/design decisions are met.
• Keep senior staff informed of important and relevant design decisions.
• Coordinate your work with other members of the project team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in structural engineering.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience, with international experience an advantage.
• Experience with secondary steel essential.
• Good AutoCAD skills and other engineering software; Revit Structures an advantage.
• Good English skills.
• Working knowledge and understanding of relevant domestic standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident and proactive approach to problem solving.
