Job summary

Buro Happold Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Structural Engineer to contribute detailed engineering design across a diverse range of buildings in India and beyond.

You will work with CAD and REVIT, collaborate with the project team, and present design decisions to clients, while delivering quality work on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate holds a Masters in structural engineering with 3–6 years’ experience, including exposure to secondary steel, and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural engineering.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience; international experience preferred.
• Experience with secondary steel is essential.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit Structures a plus.
• Strong English communication and understanding of domestic standards.

Responsibilities

• Structural design elements on projects in India and beyond.
• Work closely with technicians on CAD and REVIT drawings.
• Represent Buro Happold at client meetings with professionals and suppliers.
• Deliver high-quality project work within deadlines and budget.
• Ensure service/design decisions meet project objectives.
• Keep senior staff informed of important design decisions.
• Coordinate work with other project team members.

Your next role

• Structural design elements on projects as required, undertaking detailed engineering design of a wide variety of buildings in India and further afield.
• Working closely with technicians on CAD and REVIT drawings.
• Representing Buro Happold at meetings with the client, other professionals, and suppliers.
• Delivering excellent project work within agreed deadlines and within budget.
• Ensuring appropriate service/design decisions are met.
• Keeping senior staff informed of important and relevant design decisions to make sure that the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
• Coordinating your work with other members of the project team.

Your skills and experience

• Master's Degree in structural engineering.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience; international experience is an advantage.
• Experience with secondary steel is essential.
• Good AutoCAD skills and other engineering software; Revit Structures is an advantage.
• Good English skills.
• Working knowledge and understanding of relevant domestic standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident and proactive approach to problem solving.
