Job summary

Buro Happold's Bengaluru team is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead detailed design for diverse buildings in India. You will contribute to the technical execution, coordinate with CAD and REVIT specialists, and engage with clients and suppliers to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 3–6 years of relevant experience, strong English communication, and knowledge of domestic standards, with a collaborative, inclusive mindset and readiness to engage with project teams

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural engineering.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience; international experience is a plus.
• Experience with secondary steel is essential.
• Good AutoCAD skills; Revit Structures is an advantage.
• Good English skills.
• Working knowledge of relevant domestic standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident and proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Structural design elements on projects in India and beyond.
• Collaborating with technicians on CAD and REVIT drawings.
• Representing Buro Happold in client and supplier meetings.
• Delivering high-quality work within deadlines and budget.
• Ensuring appropriate service and design decisions are met.
• Updating seniors on key design decisions to align objectives.

Your next role

• Structural design elements on projects as required, undertaking detailed engineering design of a wide variety of buildings in India and further afield.
• Working closely with technicians on CAD and REVIT drawings.
• Representing Buro Happold at meetings with the client, other professionals, and suppliers.
• Delivering excellent project work within agreed deadlines and within budget.
• Ensuring appropriate service/design decisions are met.
• Keeping senior staff informed of important and relevant design decisions to make sure that the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
• Coordinating your work with other members of the project team.

Your Skills And Experience

• Master's Degree in structural engineering
• 3-6 years of relevant experience, international experience is an advantage
• Experience with secondary steel is essential
• Good AutoCAD skills and other engineering software; Revit Structures is an advantage.
