Job summary

Vastu Vihar (Technoculture Building Centre Pvt. Ltd.) is seeking a Structural Engineer with 3–4 years of experience to handle structural analysis, design, drawing review, and site supervision for residential projects in India.

The role requires RCC design expertise, knowledge of IS codes, and proficiency in AutoCAD and STAAD.Pro/ETABS. Strong communication in English, Hindi, and Bengali is preferred, with willingness to be on site when required.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering mandatory.
• M.Tech in Structural Engineering is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design RCC structural elements (foundations, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, retaining walls).
• Prepare and review structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, and BBS.
• Coordinate with architects, PMs and site teams to ensure designs match requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure drawings are followed.
• Check quality of cement, steel, aggregates, concrete; monitor testing.
• Prepare quantity estimates and assist in material planning and cost control.
• Resolve structural issues and technical queries at site.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes and safety standards.
• Maintain documentation, calculations, drawing records, and progress reports.
• Support value engineering and suggest economical construction solutions.

and building projects. We are looking for a capable Structural Engineer to join our team and ensure our

structures are safe, durable, and cost-effective.

Role Summary

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for structural analysis, design, drawing review, and site-level technical supervision for residential and allied building projects, ensuring compliance with relevant Indian

Standard codes and approved designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and design RCC structural elements (foundations, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, retaining walls, etc.).
• Prepare and review structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, and bar bending schedules (BBS).
• Coordinate with architects, project managers, and site teams to ensure structural designs match architectural and service requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify that execution follows approved drawings and specifications.
• Check quality of materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, and concrete, and monitor testing
• Prepare quantity estimates and assist in material planning and cost control.
• Resolve structural issues and technical queries arising at site promptly.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes (IS 456, IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893, IS 13920, SP 16, SP 34, etc.) and safety standards.
• Maintain proper documentation, calculations, drawing records, and progress reports.
• Support value engineering and suggest economical, sustainable construction solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering (mandatory). M.Tech in Structural Engineering is an added advantage.
• Experience: 3–4 years in structural design and/or site execution of building projects.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of RCC design and relevant IS codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural software such as STAAD.Pro and/or ETABS. Knowledge of Revit/SAFE is a plus.
• Good understanding of site practices, construction methods, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office for calculations and reporting.
• Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and Bengali (preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.

• Experience with low-rise or mid-rise residential projects.
• Interest in sustainable, eco-friendly, and cost-effective building techniques.
• Willingness to be present at site as required.
