Job summary

9E Global is seeking an experienced Design Engineer/Project Engineer in civil/structural engineering. The role focuses on design work on projects, coordinating with associates or senior engineers, and ensuring QA/CDM compliance.

A 3–6 year background in engineering consultancy and a civil/structural degree are required, with a Masters or Chartered status as a plus. Middle East project experience is highly preferred.

• Attend design team/site meetings.

• Supervise office filing system set-up.

• Responsible for setting-up and maintaining job filing system to office standard.
• Attend team/job meetings to discuss progress/deadlines/detail design issues.

• Begin to take part in the development of company procedures (task groups etc).
• Review and comment on company procedures documents using the feedback system.
• Attend team meetings providing feedback on your/company development where possible.
• Applying policies relating to health & safety, quality and training.
• Produce drawing list/calculation index/specification list/information required schedule.
• Responsible for development and production of drawings/calculations/specification/reports.
• Check drawings/review calculations from Graduate Engineers.
• Understand design philosophy/design fundamentals.
• Familiar with architects/service engineers/etc. drawings, specification.
• Development of details.
• Production of calculations.
• Co-ordination with architect/service engineer information.

QHSE Responsibilities

• Understand, implement andfollow 9E QHSE policies.
• Implement and coordinate QHSEprocedures in your workplace.
• Comply with local regulatoryauthority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
• Report any QHSE incidentsimmediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
• Abide Client/Contractor QHSErequirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
