Qualifications

• Experience 2–5 years in structural design and analysis of steel structures (lattice towers, monopoles, guy masts) and foundations.
• Proficient in using Indian and international codes and standards.
• Ability to prepare documentation and perform design calculations using relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and assessment of telecommunication structures and prepare documentation per standards.
• Quality check assessments against client requirements.
• Provide modification/strengthening solutions for member failures.
• Analyze foundations such as isolated footing, mat footing and pile foundations.
• Develop Excel tools for manual calculations outside software.
• Review CAD drawings for engineering accuracy.
• Analyze existing modifications for monopoles and towers.

Job description

Professional skills:

Structural Designer Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience in Structural Design and Analysis of Steel structures such as Lattice towers, Monopoles and Guy Masts using various tools and techniques. Analysis of foundations of steel structures.

Key Responsibilities

Perform structural design and/or assessment of telecommunication structures and preparation of relevant documentation using Indian and international standards.

• Steel lattice towers


• Steel and concrete monopoles


• Rooftops poles and Antenna mounts

Quality check for the assessments with respect to the client requirements.

Provide modification/strengthening solutions in case of member failure.

Analysis of existing modifications for monopoles such as flat plates, bridge stiffeners, transition stiffeners and extensions.

Analysis of existing modifications for self-supporting towers such as half pipe attached to the leg members, member replacements and bracing changes.

Analysis of anchor bolts and baseplates for telecommunication structures.

Foundation design and analysis of various kinds of foundations such as isolated footing, mat footing, pile foundation etc.

Analysis of foundation modifications such as foundation jacketing and composite foundations.

Develop the excel tools for different types of manual calculations to be performed outside software being used.

Engineering review of construction drawings prepared by the CAD technicians.

Skills required -
