Job summary

KP & J Engineers Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai seeks a BIM/CAD engineer to develop 3D models and produce structural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD. You will manage BIM workflow, annotate and detail 2D production drawings, coordinate with engineers and clients, and support project submissions.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents, strong 3D thinking, and a bachelor’s degree in Civil. Willingness to relocate to Chennai is preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Create and annotate 3D BIM models and 2D production drawings in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate BIM workflow, folder organization, sheets, and transmittals.
• Prepare and review project deliverables for client submissions.
• Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate modelling content and approaches.
• Provide 3D views or renderings as needed for marketing or project use.

Produce 3D models consistent with instruction, industry guidelines, and KP&J

A&E standards and practices.

Clearly annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings in

conformance to KP&J standards and practices.

Manage the BIM workflow including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-

location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.

Maintain structural BIM / CAD files for use in the structural design drawings

Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modelling content and

approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.

Use tools such as Navisworks for project collaboration across multiple

Prepare and review project deliverables for client submissions.

Create 3D views or renderings on an as-needed basis for marketing or project

use.

Qualifications:

2 to 3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents

Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit software

Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software

Strong understanding of how a building comes together

Ability to think in 3-D

Ability to draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineer

Proficiency with written and verbal communication skills
