Job summary

Elematic India is expanding its Structure Design Team in Bengaluru to deliver robust structural solutions for global projects. The role involves conceptual studies, modeling, analysis of steel and concrete structures, and preparation of budgets and proposals.

You will coordinate with mechanical, electrical, architectural and geotechnical teams while ensuring adherence to international standards. M.E. Structures or PhD in Structures is preferred, with 6–8 years in precast/RCC advantageous.

Qualifications

• Broad understanding of major design deliverables.
• Plans, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work.
• Handles complex design features and coordination requirements.
• Coordinates with other disciplines, clients, suppliers and contractors.
• Familiar with national & international codes like ACI, BS & Euro codes.
• Capable of guiding and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or assists in conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals, criteria, specs and budgets.
• Performs finite element modeling and structural analysis of steel and concrete structures.
• Prepares cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing for proposals and forecasts.

We are expanding our Structure Design Team. Are you passionate about the structural engineering and design? At Elematic India, we are looking for scaling up the Design Team providing efficient structural solutions for global projects.

Job Responsibility

• Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals, design criteria, specifications, budget and schedules for projects of varying complexity.
• Perform the finite element modeling and structural analysis of various steel and concrete structures.
• Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders.

Required Skills

• Possesses a broad understanding of the major design engineering deliverable.
• Plans, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work.
• Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements.
• Coordinates engineering effort in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups.
• Understanding of the roles played by other disciplines like Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Geotech and Construction etc.
• Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline.
• Capable of planning, assigning, guiding and monitoring work of the team members
• Capable of assuring quality of design and associated deliverable
• Experience in design of Precast buildings will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to Modular construction shall be an added advantage
• Well acquainted with National & International codes like ACI, BS & Euro codes.

Key competencies

• Command on structural analysis and design software like STAAD Pro and ETABS.
• Knowledge of drafting software like AutoCAD would be an added advantage.

Experience

• 6-8 years of experience in Precast/ RCC
