Job summary

Belcan in India, Telangana, Hyderabad is seeking an experienced design and analysis engineer for aero static and rotating components. You will use Ansys APDL to develop FE models and validate designs against solid mechanics, fatigue, and reliability criteria.

The role requires 4+ years in aero mechanical design, a postgraduate/graduate degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering, and strong communication skills to document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in design of aero static and rotating components with Ansys APDL.
• Solid mechanics, machine design, fatigue, GD&T, tolerances, standards.
• CAD/NX/SolidWorks/CATIA; DFMEA and BOM experience.
• 2D & 3D FE modelling for simple to moderate FE models.
• Strong analysis, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and commitments.

Responsibilities

• Design aero static and rotating components using FE methods.
• Perform fatigue, strength, buckling, and durability evaluations.
• Develop 2D/3D FE models for engine components.
• Assess damage tolerance and fracture life estimates.
• Address non-conformance and repair evaluation per regulations.
• Communicate results effectively to cross-functional teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in Design of Aero Static & Rotating Mechanical Components under minimal guidance using Ansys APDL.
• Should have good knowledge in Solid mechanics, Machine design, Fatigue, GD & T, Tolerance stack up, Design Standards, Manufacturing, engineering fundamentals, materials specification.
• CAD,NX,SOLID WORKS,CATIA, DFMEA, BOM
• 2D & 3D Finite Element modelling of simple and moderate FE models
• Good understanding on Strength, buckling and Durability(LCF/HCF) of components.
• Knowledge of damage tolerance assessments to estimate fracture life
• Familiarity with Non-Conformance, repair evaluation processes and regulations.
• Strong analytical, Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in mechanical design & analysis of aircraft engine models
• Postgraduate/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace engineering with excellent academic background
• In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Strong oral and written communication skills
