Job summary

Siemens Ltd. India is seeking a Strategy Manager in the Strategy & Sustainability function. The role is based in Kalwa (Airoli), Mumbai, reporting to the Strategy head with dotted lines to the EA Business unit head.

You will drive corporate strategy, manage strategic programs, and develop content for CEO discussions while building cross-functional partnerships across India. The position requires 8–10 years of experience in business or corporate settings, strong analytical and presentation

Qualifications

• Engineer or CA; MBA is an added advantage.
• 8–10 years’ work experience in business or corporate functions.
• Strong ability to translate thoughts into visuals for organization and socialization.
• Must possess executive presence with compelling oral and written communication.
• Willing to extend working hours when required and handle sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor corporate strategy and strategic programs across the organization.
• Create knowledge content and contribute to sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare CEO presentations and Board materials, and support executive meetings.
• Prepare internal presentations for townhalls and leadership forums.
• Collaborate with BUs to align on competitor profiles and market intelligence.
• Publish regular competitive analyses based on public and internal reports.

Reporting Structure

This person will be directly reporting to Company Strategy head and dotted reporting to EA Business unit head.

This role is one of Individual contributor, part of the corporate Strategy team, working with the Head of Strategy and Sustainability, Siemens Ltd. India. You will drive multiple topics including developing / monitoring corporate Strategy, Strategic Program management, Knowledge creation and sustainability (small part) across the organization.

The different dimensions of the role include

• Market intelligence:
• As and when required, collate business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources
• Economy: Monitoring economy situation from various sources, and documenting and communicating its outline with leadership team of SIL
• Markets intelligence: Understanding market modeling and analyzing opportunity pockets, business wise
• Monitor industry trends and assessment of opportunities to identify future growth markets.
• Competitor Intelligence:
• As project mission demands, develop and maintain required competitor profiles including SWOT and financial analysis
• Discuss and synchronize with Business/ BUs for selected competitors
• Publish monthly competitor analysis basis annual reports / MCA reports / Analyst reports
• Supporting CEO’s office:
• Research and develop content for CEO presentations (e.g. Customer Meetings / Govt. interactions e.g. PMO meeting, Industry Association conferences, etc...)
• Create quarterly Board Meeting presentation
• Prepare internal presentations e.g. Townhalls, SIBC etc.
• Prepare information dossier for senior leadership such as MBM
• Prepare information dossier for our CEO for his meetings with Industry captains, from time to time

Qualification / Experience / Skill Sets required

• Engineer / CA. MBA is an added advantage!
• ~ 08-10 years’ work experience in business or corporate functions
• The deliverables of the role indirectly impact CEO’s image. Hence the candidate must possess a very strong result and quality orientation. This entails ability to draw a robust project plan, network with wide range of stakeholders – India and SAG
• The role entails a very strong ability to translate thoughts / ideas into a powerful visual that can be socialized across organization. Hence prior experience in the area of strategy / business development will be an added advantage
• Strong growth mindset: Must possess to step out of comfort zone; willing to learn such domains they have not been hitherto exposed to
• Strong analytical ability and comprehension skills.
• This role entails frequent meetings with executive management. The candidate must have a strong executive presence, compelling communication skills (Oral & written) and presentation skills
• Candidate should be hard working, needing to extend working hours when situation demands
• Very high order of trust and dependability. The position entails dealing with sensitive data on regular basis.
