Job summary

PwC’s Corporate Deals Technology team is seeking a Senior Associate in Hyderabad. You will address complex business and technology challenges across the deal lifecycle, blending strategic analysis with execution support to enable successful M&A outcomes.

The role requires strong knowledge of M&A IT concepts, experience in IT integration/separation, and the ability to develop detailed financial and architectural plans for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or engineering/IT field.
• MBA or equivalent degree is required for senior roles.
• Experience in M&A IT integration, IT due diligence or TIAs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with PwC teams and client stakeholders on deal lifecycle.
• Support IT due diligence, IT integration, and IT separation planning.
• Develop integration/separation deliverables including Day One readiness.
• Build financial models for IT, including synergy and standalone costs.
• Recommend enterprise architecture, solutions, and systems.
• Advise on integration, separation, or carve-out strategies for IT pillars
• Drive digital transformation initiatives across technology and processes
• Mentor associates and contribute to business development

Strategy Consulting - Corporate Deals Technology The Corporate Deals Technology (CDT) team partners with global corporate clients to shape technology strategy that enables business value and deal success in complex M&A transactions. Our thought leadership and extensive expertise in various industries allow us to serve corporate clients with consulting services with a focus on technology components of the value chain to create scalable and profitable businesses. Corporate Deals Technology (CDT), a key practice of the Strategy platform, works with corporate clients across industries supporting engagements: Developing M&A Technology Strategies for integrations, separations, carve-outs, and divestitures by collaborating with C-suite executives Conducting Technology Due Diligence to assess IT landscapes, identify risks, and evaluate value creation opportunities Advising on Integration and Divestiture Planning to align technology strategy with business and operational priorities Designing Future-State Technology Models and Architectures

Core responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you will work with global PwC teams and client stakeholders to address complex business and technology challenges across the deal lifecycle. The role blends strategic analysis, technology insight, and execution support to enable successful M&A outcomes.

• Proactively assist the team across deal spectrum (IT DD, IT integration / separation)
• Plan and develop integration and separation deliverables, including Day One readiness and execution, business process and systems integration and separation
• Develop financial models for IT, including synergy savings, one-time costs, standalone costs and stranded costs
• Recommend enterprise architecture, solutions, and systems based on industry leading practices and past experiences
• Recommend integration, separation, or carve-out strategies across key IT pillars
• Drive digital transformation initiatives by aligning technology, processes, and data
• Coach associates on and off engagements to deliver on high impact deliverables
• Actively involve in business development opportunities for new/existing clients
• Contribute to business development and thought leadership initiatives within PwC Knowledge

Candidates are expected to demonstrate foundational knowledge in at least one area of technology, with strong analytical skills to effectively understand & address client needs:

Must-have skills

• Good understanding of M&A concepts such as due diligence, integration, separation
• Basic understanding of all IT domains (enterprise architecture, applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity)
• Experience working in M&A IT and/or Digital Transformation engagements
• Ability to evaluate the client’s business and technology landscape with limited data
• Good communication & storyboarding skills
• Strong Cost Modeling, Benchmarking and Project Management skills

Good-to-have skills

• Experience working across M&A deal lifecycle such as due diligence, integration, or separation planning focused on IT
• Good technical expertise across multiple IT domains (e.g., Apps, Infra/Cloud, Cybersecurity)
• Global Exposure (Client Interactions)
• Experience in leading small teams
• Excellence in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Proficiency in leveraging GenAI tools such as ChatGPT for rapid research and analysis

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor's degree in information technology; Engineering, Operations, and Finance graduates may also qualify. MBA or equivalent (from Premier B-Schools) is a MUST. Senior Associates and Manager: 4 to 11 years’ experience in Consulting, preferably in M&A IT Integration, IT Divestitures, IT Due Diligence, TSAs, Digital Transformation
