Job summary

Novotel New Delhi City Centre in Delhi is seeking a Store Supervisor to manage POS transactions, stock levels, and deliver exceptional guest service in a busy retail-hospitality setting.

You will supervise junior staff, monitor sales performance, maintain visual merchandising, and ensure compliance with policies, while partnering with other departments to enhance guest experiences. Minimum 2 years in retail or hospitality expected.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service environment.
• Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and demonstrated expertise in cash handling procedures.
• Strong numerical skills with the ability to perform accurate cash reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage all point-of-sale transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring proper cash handling and payment reconciliation throughout your shift.
• Oversee daily stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks to maintain optimal merchandise availability and minimize discrepancies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by attending to guest inquiries promptly and ensuring a welcoming, positive shopping experience.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Process customer transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in billing and providing detailed receipts.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and training to ensure consistent service standards across the team.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets, identifying trends and providing actionable feedback to management.
• Ensure strict compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and security protocols.
• Maintain detailed and transparent records of stock movements, inventory discrepancies, and daily sales reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall operations and enhance guest satisfaction initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to maximize sales and suggest innovative improvements to store operations and customer experience.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns with empathy and professionalism, working toward effective resolutions.

Job Description
