Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Stores Executive with 5–8 years of experience in the Railway sector to manage our inventory, procurement coordination, and material handling activities. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in railway stores operations, including material receiving, issuance, stock reconciliation, and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the stores department specific to railway components and materials.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials as per purchase orders and railway standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage practices to prevent damage or loss.
- Ensure timely issuance of materials to relevant departments (project/site/maintenance).
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project teams for material planning and replenishment.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and generate alerts for reordering.
- Handle documentation such as Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Notes (MIN), and stock ledgers.
- Ensure compliance with railway specifications, quality standards, and safety norms.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliation, reporting discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain ERP/Inventory management system records accurately and update stock movements in real‑time.
Key Requirements:
- Graduate/Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in stores/inventory management in the Railway sector.
- Good understanding of railway materials, spares, and consumables.
- Familiarity with Indian Railways procurement processes and specifications (preferred).
- Proficiency in inventory management software (SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in coordination with multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of railway‑specific materials and handling protocols.
- Certification in Inventory Management or Supply Chain (optional but preferred).
- Experience working with government/PSU railway contracts or EPC projects.
