Job summary

NTT DATA seeks an experienced Storage Migration Engineer in Bangalore, Karnataka to plan and execute SAN, NAS and Block Storage migrations across multi‑vendor platforms.

The role requires hands‑on migration tool experience, migration planning, cloud migrations, and delivering runbooks, implementation documents and rollback procedures with minimal business disruption. You will collaborate with customers and teams throughout the migration lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in SAN, NAS and Block Storage migrations.
• Hands-on migration tools experience with Kompris e, Datadobi, Parsec, Cirrus Data Migration.
• Experience with NetApp, Pure Storage, Hitachi, EMC PowerMax/VMAX or HPE 3PAR.
• Knowledge of storage replication technologies.
• Understanding of Brocade and Cisco SAN switches, zoning, masking and LUN provisioning.
• Experience with VMware environments and Storage vMotion preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux and UNIX storage administration.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and customer communication.

• Troubleshoot migration‑related issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Work closely with customers, project managers, and infrastructure teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Support storage upgrades, disaster recovery activities, and post‑migration validation.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Storage Migration Engineer with expertise in planning and executing enterprise SAN, NAS, and Block Storage migration projects across multi‑vendor storage platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience with storage migration tools, migration planning, cloud migrations, and enterprise storage technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills

• Strong experience in SAN, NAS, and Block Storage migrations.
• Hands‑on experience with migration tools such as Komprise, Datadobi, Parsec, Cirrus Data Migration (CMC/CMO), or equivalent.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms including NetApp, Pure Storage, Hitachi, EMC PowerMax/VMAX, or HPE 3PAR.
• Experience with storage replication technologies.
• Good understanding of Brocade and Cisco SAN switches, zoning, masking, and LUN provisioning.
• Experience with VMware environments and Storage vMotion is preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, UNIX (AIX/HP-UX) storage administration.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud storage migrations (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to Agile project delivery.
• Relevant storage certifications (NetApp, Pure Storage, Hitachi, EMC, Brocade, or Cloud certifications).
