Essential Job Functions
- Perform tasks necessary to fulfill service level agreements with end-users regarding storage allocations, limitations, security, and availability.
- Perform and test backups and restores to ensure that enterprise data is effectively protected.
- Communicate and enforce, through system procedures, data storage retention policies.
- Follow change control, incident response, and testing processes for modifications to storage appliances and software.
- Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve issues with storage devices, storage access, and data retrieval.
- Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for storage equipment performance, space allocation, and data growth to recommend enhancements to the IT storage team.
- Remain informed on storage laws, trends, and issues, including current and emerging technologies and best practices; advise, counsel, and educate executive and management teams on their relative importance.
- Ensure that information storage measures and equipment adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform storage server/database transaction and security audits leading to identification and mitigation of security threats to enterprise data. Recommend and implement changes where necessary.
- Create required reports in response to business user needs.
- Develop, document, and maintain operational processes and tasks.
- Understanding of Storage & backup automation Develop and maintain documentation related to patching processes and procedures.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours patching activities.
Information Technology
- Operational expertise with enterprise‑class storage systems is a must for this position. Solid understanding of storage architecture design techniques, theories, principles, and practices.
- Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting storage servers and management software.
- Hands‑on IBM/NetApp/EMC storage troubleshooting experience.
- Hands‑on experience in managing VTL e.g. Cybernetics.
- Hands‑on experience Cohesity / TSM / IBM defender.
- Hands‑on experience on SAN switch management.
- Understanding of Disaster recovery tools & management (VMware SRM / Zerto).
- Understanding of ITIL processes and best practice.
- Understanding of SLA terms.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Storage & Backup administration.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively to the teams as well as IT Executive Management.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proven track record working in a global and multicultural environment.
- Critical thinking, deductive thinking, problem solving skills.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Must have strong reporting and analytical skills.

Additional Requirements
- Ready to work in 24X7 Shifts & on call schedule.
Training
