The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Commvault components, Windows/Linux, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams. 24x7 shifts and work-from-office in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of backup administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with Commvault Backup.
• Must have Commvault Certification (Mandatory / Preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 rotational shift.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily backup operations and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot backup failures, restore failures, and recovery issues.
• Manage Commvault Media Agents, Storage Policies, Sub-Clients, schedules, and Deduplication.
• Perform daily health checks and identify backup-related issues.
• Handle escalations and take corrective actions.
• Support backup infrastructure across Windows, Linux, VMware, and Storage environments.
• Collaborate with Server, Storage, Network, VMware, Linux, and Windows teams.
• Coordinate with vendors for complex issues.
• Participate in disaster recovery and backup recovery activities.
• Perform upgrades and configuration changes on backup infrastructure.
• Assist automation of repetitive backup administration tasks.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Backup Administrator with 2–5 years of experience, preferably with strong hands‑on experience in Commvault Backup.The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the end‑to‑end backup infrastructure in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate should be hardworking, responsible, good at troubleshooting, and comfortable working in a team and handling critical backup issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily backup operations and backup infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot backup failures, restore failures, and recovery issues.
• Manage and troubleshoot Commvault Media Agents, Storage Policies, Sub-Clients, schedules, and Deduplication.
• Perform daily health checks and identify backup-related issues.
• Handle backup and restore escalations and take corrective actions.
• Support backup infrastructure across Windows, Linux, VMware, and Storage environments.
• Work with internal teams such as Server, Storage, Network, VMware, Linux, and Windows teams.
• Coordinate with vendors for critical and complex issues.
• Support backup infrastructure optimization and implementation of best practices.
• Participate in disaster recovery and backup recovery activities.
• Perform upgrades, maintenance, and configuration changes on backup infrastructure.
• Support automation of repetitive backup administration tasks using scripts/automation tools.
• Be available for 24x7 support / after-office-hours support when required.
• Strong hands‑on experience in Commvault Backup.
• Good knowledge of Commvault architecture and components.
• Experience with: Media Agents , Storage Policies ,sub-Clients , Schedules ,Deduplication / DDB ,Backup and Restore , Catalog/Database recovery .
• Experience in backup administration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux.
• Basic knowledge of VMware and Storage technologies.
• Exposure to AWS / Azure / GCP / OCI backup environments is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of database backups such as Oracle, SQL, SAP HANA, Exchange, DB2, etc., is an advantage.
• Knowledge of NetBackup or Veeam is an added advantage.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
