Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP in Bengaluru, Karnataka, seeks a Storage AI Engineer to design and deploy scalable AI and Generative AI solutions. You will collaborate across data science, software, and cloud teams to deliver AI-powered storage products.

The role requires 3-5 years of experience in AI/ML, strong Python/SQL, and cloud/DevOps skills. This is a hybrid position with ~2 days per week in an HPE office, located in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

Job Family Definition:

We are looking for a Storage AI Engineer who will have to deliver enterprise-scale AI solutions, build complex agent ecosystems. You will work at the intersection of machine learning, generative AI, software engineering, and cloud technologies to build scalable AI-powered products and platforms. You will collaborate with data scientists, and engineering teams to bring advanced AI capabilities into real-world Storage applications. The role requires strong technical expertise, creativity, and a passion for solving complex business challenges using state-of-the-art AI technologies.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Exercises independent judgment and consults with tech leads to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

What You'll Do:

• Design and build production-grade AI and Generative AI solutions using large language models (LLMs).
• Develop AI agents, copilots, and workflow automation systems that improve user productivity and business outcomes.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using vector databases and enterprise knowledge sources.
• Fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize machine learning and foundation models for accuracy, performance, safety, and cost.
• Build scalable APIs, services, and platforms to serve AI models in production environments.
• Establish monitoring, observability, and governance mechanisms to ensure responsible AI deployment.
• Drive experimentation, innovation, and adoption of emerging AI technologies across the organization.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering or closely related quantitative discipline. Typically, 3-5 years’ experience.
