Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Stock Audit Specialist based in Kanpur. The Stock Audit Specialist will be responsible for conducting periodic and surprise stock audits, verifying physical inventory against accounting records, and identifying discrepancies in stock levels and valuation. Daily tasks include reviewing purchase and sales records, reconciling inventory movements, preparing detailed audit reports, and recommending improvements in stock control processes. The role also involves coordinating with client teams, ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations, and supporting senior auditors or partners with data analysis and documentation.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Accounting and Finance, with a solid understanding of inventory management and cost structures.
• Candidates should possess skills in Bookkeeping and Financial Statements preparation and analysis to support accurate stock valuation and reporting.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Accounting Software and related digital tools used for recording, tracking, and reconciling inventory data.
• Relevant academic background such as a degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify irregularities and control gaps.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams, and the ability to document findings clearly and concisely.
