Job summary

Broadcom Inc. seeks a senior software engineer to drive complex feature enhancements and architecture improvements for our enterprise security product suite.

You will design cross‑platform components, APIs, and distributed systems with deep debugging and hotfix engineering for critical customer issues. Key focus areas include Core Java mastery, Spring MVC/Hibernate/iBatis, REST/XML/SOAP APIs, PostgreSQL, React/Angular front-end, and build tooling (Maven, Ant, Gradle, Jenkins).

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of software development experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise security product features.
• Strong understanding of Java and OO design patterns.
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
• SQL/PostgreSQL experience.
• Frontend tech: React/Angular, JavaScript, jQuery.

We are seeking an experienced senior software engineer to drive complex feature enhancements, architecture improvements, and high-tier escalation resolution for our enterprise security product suite. In this role, you will balance core software engineering—designing cross-platform components, APIs, and distributed systems with deep debugging and hotfix engineering for critical customer issues.

Core Backend & Architecture Java Mastery

• Deep expertise in Core Java and object-oriented Design Patterns.

Frameworks

• Strong working knowledge of Spring MVC, Hibernate, and iBatis.

APIs & Web Services

• Hands‑on experience building REST APIs and XML/SOAP web services.

DB Expert

• DB expert in PostGreSQL is add on
• Frontend & Build Automation Modern Java Web UI: Experience with react, Angular for full-stack Java development.

Legacy UI Basics

• Solid understanding of JavaScript and jQuery.

DevOps Tools

• Experience using Maven, Ant, Gradle, and Jenkins for builds.

Soft Skills & Domain Value-Adds

• Quick learner who easily adapts to new technologies.

Security Edge

• High preference for knowledge in Authentication and authorization, and general cyber security.

AI Expertise & Methodology

• AI Integration: Expertise using AI code assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude) as force multipliers within your daily workflow.
• Spec-Driven Development: Hands‑on experience with AI spec‑driven frameworks (e.g., Plan/BMAD modes) to map out and execute the full SDLC.
• Agentic Workflows: Experience orchestrating multi‑agent workflows for complex tasks like system upgrades, refactoring, and vulnerability patching.
• Quality Control: Proven ability to critically review AI-generated code for security, architectural alignment, and performance bottlenecks.

Work Experience

Typically, 8 to 12 years of experience in software development.
