Job summary

Broadcom Inc. in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced software engineer to address time-critical enhancements and customer issues for the Security product family.

You will design, review code, and mentor others in debugging complex issues, with emphasis on AI-driven productivity. Qualifications include strong Java/J2EE, container/Kubernetes, OS internals, multithreaded performance debugging, and enterprise security knowledge (OAuth/OpenID, PKI, SSL, IAM).

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java/J2EE for enterprise apps.
• Strong Kubernetes, Helm and container experience.
• Solid design and debugging capabilities.
• Knowledge of Windows and Unix OS internals.
• Expertise debugging high-performance, multithreaded apps.
• Able to leverage AI tools to boost productivity.
• Security domain knowledge: OAuth/OpenID, PKI, SSL, IAM/Federation.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and code complex enhancements meeting requirements on schedule and budget.
• Write and maintain documentation describing development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Perform unit/module testing to find errors and verify specs.
• Fix bugs, add enhancements, and port software to other platforms.
• Participate in design and code reviews with other developers.
• Provide content to Technical Writers.
• Mentor, train, and share knowledge with less experienced engineers.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for addressing complex time-critical enhancements and customer issues for the Security product family. Also to provide design, code reviews to complex code modifications and mentor others on debugging approaches to solve complex issues. Use of AI tools for productivity and efficiency is required.

Skills Required

• Strong Java/J2EE programming (Java full-stack) skills with experience on enterprise class applications
• Strong Container / Kubernetes, Helm skills
• Strong Design & Debugging skills
• Strong knowledge of Windows / Unix Operating Systems Internals
• Very good at debugging Multi-threaded, high performance Applications
• Ability to use AI tools effectively to improve efficiency, productivity
• Enterprise Security domain knowledge and experience: * OAuth, OpenID * PKI (Certificates), SSL * IAM / Federation use cases
• Good Communication, Coaching & mentoring skills

Key Responsibilities

Design and code complex enhancements that meet functional and business requirements on schedule and within budget. Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. Perform unit/module testing of software to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications. Fix bugs, add enhancements, and convert software to other platforms. Actively participate in design and code reviews with other developers. Provide product content to Technical Writers. Mentor, train, develop and serve as a knowledge resource for less experienced Software Engineers.
