Skills and Competencies

• 8+ years of experience building scalable backend platforms, distributed systems, and enterprise applications.
• Strong expertise in Java and C#/.NET, including APIs, microservices, and modern software engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, performance tuning, NoSQL databases, and cloud-native architectures.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and production-scale performance and reliability engineering.Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, influence architecture decisions, and mentor engineers across global teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with a focus on delivering business outcomes.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

About the Team

The Data Platform Engineering team builds the core data services, infrastructure, and tooling that power Moody’s Insurance Solutions products. Working closely with engineering and product teams, the group drives platform modernization and operational excellence while enabling the delivery of scalable, reliable, and innovative customer solutions. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of Moody’s data platforms, work with modern technologies at scale, and make a meaningful impact across the organization.
