Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to supervise shop-floor manufacturing, assembly, or industrial processing operations at the Ghiloth (Rajasthan) production facility. The S1 Production Supervisor coordinates daily shift activities, ensures strict adherence to manufacturing schedules, and maintains plant-level safety, quality, and output metrics to meet organizational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Shift Management: Assign tasks to plant operators, monitor production lines, and resolve immediate bottlenecks to hit standard production targets.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor processing parameters, conduct regular spot-checks, and ensure finished products conform to specified standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Safety & Housekeeping: Enforce strict compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) guidelines, personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols, and 5S housekeeping standards.
• Process Efficiency: Track machine downtimes, supervise basic preventative maintenance, and implement minor workflow changes to minimize material scrap and rework.
• Reporting & Data Maintenance: Compile accurate logs of shift outputs, material consumption, equipment malfunctions, and workforce attendance.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all production activities adhere strictly to company policies, statutory regulations, and standard environmental guidelines.

Educational Qualification

• Essential: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Preferred: Certified training in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma Green Belt methodologies.

Experience

• Minimum Experience Required: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
• Preferred Experience: Past supervisory exposure handling a team of contractual or permanent shop-floor operators.
• Industry: Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, FMCG, Ceramics, or Electronics.
• Functional Area: Shop Floor Management & Production Operations.
• Manufacturing Processes: Deep understanding of assembly lines, production machining, or industrial processing equipment.
• Lean Tools: Practical awareness of 5S, Kaizen, Just-In-Time (JIT), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Inventory Control: Basic skill in tracing material usage, handling raw material requests, and limiting floor waste.
• ERP & Software: Routine familiarity with manufacturing systems like SAP, Oracle, or MES software for processing production orders.
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Coordinates successfully with cross-functional teams like Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse.
• Communication Skills: Issues clear, precise work instructions to operators and drafts concise reports for upper management.
• Problem Solving: Identifies and solves localized technical equipment or processing issues rapidly to avoid line downtime.
• Leadership: Mentors, engages, and manages shifts of diverse technicians and floor operators.

• External Stakeholders: Third-party staffing vendors, equipment technicians, or standard compliance auditors.
