Job summary

Dr. Kns Memorial Hospital in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is seeking a dedicated NICU nurse to provide specialized care for premature and critically ill newborns. The role involves close monitoring, essential NICU procedures, and collaborative patient management.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to premature, low-birth-weight, and critically ill newborns.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, temperature, and other neonatal clinical parameters.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and feeds as per medical instructions.
• Operate and monitor incubators, radiant warmers, phototherapy units, and other NICU equipment as trained.
• Maintain strict infection control practices and aseptic techniques to prevent neonatal infections.
• Assist doctors during neonatal resuscitation, emergency procedures, and other clinical interventions.
• Monitor feeding tolerance, intake-output, urine output, and overall neonatal progress.
• Maintain accurate nursing records, medication charts, and shift handover documentation.
• Identify and promptly report any deterioration in the newborns condition to the treating doctor.
• Educate and support parents regarding breastfeeding, kangaroo mother care (KMC), newborn hygiene, and discharge care.
