Job summary

Drlogy in New Delhi is seeking an experienced NICU Nurse for the New Friends Colony unit. The role focuses on delivering specialized neonatal care to newborns, premature infants, and critically ill neonates in the NICU, with emphasis on NRP, ventilation support, and infection control.

You will monitor vitals, assist rounds, administer medications, support families, maintain meticulous records, and ensure safe, ethical, patient-centered care while coordinating with labs and pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to newborns, premature babies, and critically ill neonates.
• Monitor neonatal vital signs, oxygen saturation, temperature, feeding, intake-output, and clinical condition.
• Assist neonatologists and pediatricians during rounds, procedures, and emergency care.
• Administer medicines, IV fluids, feeds, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
• Support neonatal resuscitation and emergency response as per NRP protocols.
• Monitor incubators, warmers, phototherapy units, oxygen therapy, CPAP, and NICU equipment.
• Maintain accurate NICU nursing notes, medication charts, feeding records, and clinical documentation.
• Follow strict infection control, hand hygiene, isolation, and aseptic practices.
• Identify neonatal distress, deterioration, abnormal vitals, or complications and report immediately.
• Support breastfeeding guidance, kangaroo mother care, and parent counselling under guidance.
• Coordinate with laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, blood bank, and support departments.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of NICU patient care areas.
• Ensure proper shift handover with complete neonatal updates.
• Maintain confidentiality, compassion, and professionalism while communicating with families.
• Deliver safe, ethical, and patient-centered neonatal nursing care.
