Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Staff Content Designer for the CDX team in Bengaluru/Hyderabad to lead content design and information architecture across complex product ecosystems. You will craft UI text, set in-app delivery standards, and partner with research and design to align cross-functional teams around customer outcomes.

You will mentor peers, apply AI tools for prototyping and content synthesis, and ensure content ethics and trust in AI-driven experiences.

About The Team

The Salesforce CDX (Content Experience) team builds products that are easy to use and set a high bar for user experience. Content designers work collaboratively and iteratively with design, engineering, writing, research, and product partners to bring these experiences to life.

Responsibilities

• Lead content design and information architecture, ensuring logical, intuitive, and scalable narrative flow across complex product ecosystems.
• Write UI text and decide where/how it's delivered in-app; establish standards and reusable patterns for in-app communication.
• Partner with research and design early in the product cycle — framing problems, defining content vision, and aligning cross-functional leaders around customer-centered outcomes.
• Present to stakeholders, peers, and senior leadership to drive alignment and buy-in.
• Independently select and apply AI tools for prototyping, UI text, and research synthesis, critically evaluating AI-generated output for accuracy, tone, and trust before publishing.
• Audit existing content and design patterns for AI-readiness, prioritizing fixes by impact.
• Improve information architecture for both human and AI discoverability.
• Articulate where human judgment adds value AI can't replicate, and influence how AI-assisted features are designed.
• Mentor designers and share AI best practices across the team.

Preferred Skills

• 8–10+ years managing complex content projects as a content designer or in an allied role.
• 4+ years developing/implementing design-centric content strategy.
• Strong collaboration skills partnering with stakeholders to identify customer scenarios and prioritize content.
• Ability to write across UI text, onboarding, and other content types.
• Experience partnering with SMEs to obtain, clarify, and validate content; strong customer focus writing for engineering audiences.
• Experience leading cross-cloud or multi-product initiatives for cohesive end-to-end customer experiences.
• Ability to define and evolve content standards, governance models, and scalable systems across teams.
• Strong IA skills for both human and AI discoverability; experience shaping (not just documenting) how AI-assisted features are designed.
