Job summary

Nutanix is seeking a Staff Consulting Architect - Automation to lead automation-led transformation initiatives across enterprise customers. You will design and deliver scalable automation solutions, run customer-facing workshops, and integrate across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

The role combines deep technical depth with strong consulting capabilities. Responsibilities include architecture, end-to-end automation design, and delivery across Nutanix, AWS, Azure, and CI/CD ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, and automation.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering enterprise automation solutions.
• Experience conducting customer-facing workshops and technical discussions.
• Leading complex deployments and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation discovery and design workshops with enterprise customers.
• Translate business and operational requirements into automation roadmaps and solution architectures.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across customer IT, DevOps, and platform teams.
• Design end-to-end automation frameworks leveraging: Nutanix Self-Service Platform, Ansible, Terraform.
• Define reusable automation blueprints, modular workflows, and governance standards.
• Architect integrations across cloud, virtualization, and enterprise toolchains.
• Lead and execute complex deployments and integrations across Hybrid cloud platforms (Nutanix, AWS, Azure, etc.) and CI/CD ecosystems (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Develop and optimize infrastructure-as-code and automation pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex deployment and orchestration issues.
• Build and maintain automation using Python/PowerShell; develop modules/integrations as needed.
• Establish automation standards, governance, and enablement; mentor teams.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Consulting Architect - Automation to lead automation-led transformation initiatives across enterprise customers. This role requires deep expertise in designing and delivering scalable automation solutions, conducting customer-facing workshops, and executing complex integrations across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

• Lead automation discovery and design workshops with enterprise customers

• Implementation & Delivery
• Lead and execute complex deployments and integrations across:
• Hybrid cloud platforms (Nutanix, AWS, Azure, etc.)
• CI/CD ecosystems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Develop and optimize infrastructure-as-code and automation pipelines

• Python

• Develop custom modules, plugins, and integrations where required

• Mentor consultants and engineers on automation frameworks and tools
• Contribute to internal assets such as playbooks, accelerators, and reference architectures
  

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

Core Skills (Must-Have)

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Nutanix Self-Service Platform or equivalent
• Ansible
• Terraform
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• API integrations and REST-based automation
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language:
• Python or PowerShell

Good-to-Have

• Exposure to container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Knowledge of ITSM integrations (e.g., ServiceNow)

• Python-related certifications or demonstrable contributions to automation frameworks

Location & Work Shifts

• Travel as required for customer assignments
• Ready to work in US and EMEA shifts, as per assignments.
