Qualifications

• 5+ years of Enterprise software QA and test automation experience.
• Experience in Software Development or Test Automation in Python/Java/C++/Go (Python preferred).
• Strong fundamentals in Linux OS, OOP, algorithms and data structures.
• Solid understanding of virtualization concepts — Compute/storage/network virtualization and Docker, Kubernetes.
• Excellent debugging of distributed applications.
• Background in API and UI test automation.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools for coding, analysis and debugging; prompt engineering experience.

About the Team

Microservices Platform (MSP) Functional Test team is tasked with test planning, test scenario design, test case development and test automation suite development, to assess and improve the overall quality of our Kubernetes-based platform products. The role encompasses influencing product design by leveraging the wide knowledge of the product portfolio, continuous improvement using a keen eye for system performance, scalability aspects and ensuring that a quality-first mindset is instituted within our development practices. Also, automation of complex tests that mimic customer environments and workloads to ensure performance and scalability baselines.

Your Role

• Develop comprehensive test plans, convert them into high-quality test cases, automate and execute the tests to validate the functionality and performance of products and services.
• Build and enhance automation framework(s) both from functional and non-functional perspectives.
• Collaborate closely with developers and other customer-facing stakeholders to comprehend design and implementations, ensuring thorough testing of all features.
• Perform both manual and automated testing both from an API and UI perspective to ensure the high quality of the feature(s) under development.
• Support the regression teams by keeping the Quality Index of released features intact and ensuring the stability of existing automation test suites.
• Identify, document, and track defects until resolution, upholding software quality and integrity.
• Measure product quality in terms of functionality, scalability, high availability and usability of the product features

What You Will Bring

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of Enterprise software QA and test automation experience.
• Experience in Software Development or Test Automation in one of the following programming languages:Python/Java/C++/Go (Python preferred) - (Must Have).
• Strong fundamentals in Linux Operating systems, Object-Oriented Programming, Algorithms, Data Structures, and Problem-Solving (Must Have).
• Solid understanding and working knowledge of virtualization concepts — Compute/storage/network virtualization and Docker, Kubernetes (Must Have).
• Excellent skills in debugging complex distributed applications.
• Background in API and UI test automation.
• Experience in using AI-assisted tools for coding, analysis and debugging, Prompt engineering for enhanced productivity.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
