Job summary

Accertify, Inc. in Gurugram, Haryana, is seeking a Chargeback Analyst to research, analyze, and decide on high-risk e-commerce transactions to prevent fraud and minimize chargebacks while preserving customer experience.

The role offers hybrid work flexibility (2 days in-office) after training, with a focus on developing client-specific expertise and contributing to a model-first fraud prevention strategy. A Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of chargeback experience are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs manual review of queued transactions to determine the likelihood of fraud.

• Maintains professional persistence when reviewing transactions or speaking with clients.

• Utilizes fraud platform features to build upon initial familiarity with Client risk profiles.
• Works with a team of industry experts to monitor real-time fraud decisioning software.
• Researches transaction risk using various tools and sources.
• Reports platform issues and identifies potential impacts to Clients.
• Maintains adherence to regulatory, operational, and compliance standards.

Accertify is seeking a Chargeback Analyst to help safeguard the digital commerce ecosystem. In this role, you will research, analyze, and make decisions on high-risk e-commerce transactions, enabling our clients to prevent fraud, minimize chargebacks, and deliver seamless customer experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs manual review of queued transactions to determine the likelihood of fraud
• Prioritizes work to meet and exceed deadlines

• Constantly communicates fraud trends and shares best practices with peers and leaders
• Maintains professional persistence when reviewing transactions or speaking with clients
• Develops client-specific expertise to further support a model-first vision
• Utilizes fraud platform features to build upon initial familiarity with Client risk profiles
• Works well with a team of industry experts to monitor real-time fraud decisioning software
• Thoroughly researches transaction risk utilizing both new and existing tools
• Reports platform issues as they arise and proactively identifies potential impacts to Clients
• Maintains adherence to regulatory, operational, and compliance standards

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 1-3 years of experience preferred
• Must have experience working with merchant chargebacks.
• Strong desire to build a career in the fraud or Chargeback industry
• Previous e-commerce fraud prevention, investigation, or similar experience preferred but not required
• Fine-tuned organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills are strongly desired
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Displays confidence in making decisions independently
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Strong internet research skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems at once
• Demonstrated experience and/or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including non-business hours, overnights, weekends, and holidays

• The Accertify office is located at: Tower 1, Floor 2, International Tech Park, Sector 59, Gurugram, Haryana 122002
• This role offers hybrid work flexibility (2 days in-office) after completing the initial training period.
• This role's requirements include a PTO blackout period from October to January, during which no time off requests will be honored.
