Qualifications

• Lead major incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, and proactive risk mitigation.
• Drive automation, monitoring, observability, and operational resilience initiatives.
• Collaborate with traders, developers, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to resolve complex production issues.
• Monitor and optimize real-time trading platforms, ensuring seamless trade execution and business continuity.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Production Engineering Lead to drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Production Support for Front Office Foreign Exchange (FX) trading applications in a fast-paced financial services environment.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on ensuring the availability, stability, performance, and resilience of mission-critical, real-time trading platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in front-office trading systems, production engineering, incident management, automation, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SRE and Production Support for Front Office FX/Trading applications, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance.
• Manage and mentor a team of 5+ engineers, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

• Drive automation, monitoring, observability, and operational resilience initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with traders, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to resolve complex production issues.
• Monitor and optimize real-time trading platforms, ensuring seamless trade execution and business continuity.
• Improve system reliability through SRE best practices, capacity planning, performance tuning, and service-level objectives.
• Support front-to-back trading workflows and contribute to platform scalability and modernization.

Key Skills & Experience

• 14+ years of experience in Production Support, SRE, or Production Engineering within financial services, preferably in a front-office trading environment.
• Strong hands-on experience supporting FX trading applications and mission-critical front-office systems.
• Proven technical leadership experience, including managing teams of 5+ engineers.
• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, trading systems, and front-office business workflows.
• Strong technical skills in Linux/Unix, SQL, scripting, and programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, or .NET.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Geneos, OpenTelemetry, or Corvil.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
• Excellent incident management, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Direct trading-floor or front-office business interaction.
• Knowledge of FX products, market structure, and algorithmic trading.
• Experience improving the reliability and performance of low-latency, real-time trading platforms.
