Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Trade Finance Specialist with 5–9 years of experience to manage risk, execution, and the document flow of cross-border trade.

You will handle LC processing end-to-end, documentary collections, document examination, and payment execution via SWIFT, ensuring compliance with UCP 600, URC 522, and ISBP 745.

• Experience in end-to-end LC processing for import/export.
• Exposure to DP/DA collections and cross-border payments.

A Trade Finance Specialist with expertise in Letters of Credit, UCP, URC, collections, and payments manages the risk, execution, and document flow of cross-border international trade.

Core Responsibilities & Workflow

• Letter of Credit (LC) Management: End-to-end processing of Import and Export LCs, including issuance, advising, amendment, confirmation, and discounting.

• Documentary Collections: Handling trade documents under inward/outward collections, managing Documents against Payment (DP) and Documents against Acceptance (DA) workflows.

• Document Examination: Vetting shipping documents (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, Insurance Certificates) for discrepancies prior to negotiation or payment release.

• Payment Execution: Processing cross-border trade payments, remittances, and settlements via SWIFT messaging networks.

Governing Rules & Technical Standards

• UCP 600 (Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits): Standard ICC framework governing Letter of Credit operations globally.

• URC 522 (Uniform Rules for Collections): ICC regulations standardizing documentary collection procedures and financial document handling.

• ISBP 745 (International Standard Banking Practice): Detailed guidance for document examination under LC facilities.

• SWIFT Messaging Protocols: Operational fluency in trade-related MT formats, including MT700 series (Letters of Credit), MT400 series (Collections), and MT103/MT202 (Payments and Wire Transfers).
