Job summary

A financial services provider in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Trade Finance-Payment Processing Analyst to manage and validate trade finance payment transactions. The ideal candidate should have over 6 years of experience with a strong understanding of trade instruments and SWIFT messaging standards. This permanent role requires excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Work mode is onsite, with a UK shift schedule and 5 days of work weekly.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in trade finance operations, payments processing, or banking back-office functions.
• Strong understanding of trade instruments such as Letters of Credit (LC) and Guarantees.
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards (MT700, MT103, MT202) preferred.

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage high transaction volumes.

We are looking for a Trade Finance-Payment Processing Analyst for one of our esteemed clients in Mumbai having experience Letter of Credit, Bank Gaurantee,Payments,Documentary Collection,Pre & Poost shipment Financing,Invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and validate trade finance payment transactions, including imports, exports, reimbursements, and settlements.
• Review trade documentation (Letters of Credit, Bills of Exchange, shipping documents) for compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
• Ensure timely execution of customer and interbank payments through SWIFT and internal banking systems.
• Perform payment reconciliation, exception handling, and resolution of discrepancies.
• Monitor transactions for compliance with AML, sanctions, and internal risk policies.
• Coordinate with internal teams, correspondent banks, and customers to resolve payment-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper audit trails for all trade finance activities.
• Support operational efficiency by identifying process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Prepare operational reports and performance metrics for management review.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
