Job summary

Burckhardt Compression AG. is seeking a Sr. Technical Consultant in Pune to lead and support compressor technical activities.

The role emphasizes efficient problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and high-quality technical documentation for customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background with extensive experience, strong English communication, and hands-on service exposure in refinery or related industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical Engineering with 7–10 years of similar experience.
• Strong analytical and technical decision-making abilities.
• Good written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and mentor technical consultants and specialists.
• Provide technical support, assistance, and advice for compressors.
• Serve as the technical contact point for customers.
• Analyse cases and evaluate technical complexity of issues.
• Prepare technical damage reports of medium complexity.
• Develop and execute interim troubleshooting solutions.
• Resolve contractual and warranty issues cost-effectively.
• Support Life Cycle Cost analyses.
• Coordinate with documentation and quality teams.

Position: Sr. Technical Consultant

Your contributions to organisation's growth:

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development of technical consultants and specialist.
• Provide Technical support, assistance, and advice for compressors.
• Technical contact point for all customers.
• Analyse cases and evaluate the technical complexity of the case.
• Preparation of technical damage reports of medium complexity
• Develop and execute interim troubleshooting solutions.
• Execution of actions to solve the claim sustainable of medium complexity.
• Analysis of customer claims related to products and evaluation ofwarranty
• Timely resolution of contractual and warranty issues in the most cost effective manner.
• Support for Life Cycle Cost Analyses
• Manual proof readingand review and advise changes to technical documentation team.
• Knowledge management and knowledge sharing
• Root Cause Analyses - (RCA), supports the T C member to establish an adequate technical report.
• Customer Complaint – co-ordination of customer complaint / claim/ Non conformity process according to contact person at site for customer, agents, contractor and project manager
• Enhance customer satisfaction through timely services and better technical support and services.
• Transferofimprovementtopics toTIMP via8DReportsand CaseManagement
• Clustering and transfer of Major Eventcases to the Technical Support 3rdlevel
• Transfer of manufacturing related topics toQuality and Operationdepartments

Education/ experience / languages:

• BE with Mechanical Engineering with min 7 - 10 years of similar experience
• Analytical skill, technical decision making.
• Good Communication skill in English . (written & verbal communication with customer) Presentation & Training experience

Special requirements:

• Good Hands-on service experience in Refineries, Petrochemicals/ fertilizers, Industrial Gas segment with reciprocating compressors installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Experience in SAP ERP MM module and Microsoft CRM Dynamics 365 service module.

Key performance indicators (KPI’s):

• Cases in CRM (Open; Close; Tasks) - Case Management
• Compliant and Warranty Management
• End to End completion of task , On time Response to customer's technical request
• RCA preparation - Timeline for closing the cases
• Knowledge of Articles Preparation
