Job summary

ValuePoint in India seeks a security analyst to provide L2 support for Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Purview, DLP, and Entra ID. You will manage Information Protection and Sensitivity Labels within the Microsoft 365 suite and coordinate with related services.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft security and compliance technologies including Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Purview, DLP, Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, and Entra ID.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Intune.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support and administration for Microsoft security and compliance technologies including Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Purview, DLP, Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, and Entra ID.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve security incidents, service requests, and policy-related issues escalated from L1 teams while ensuring compliance with SLAs.
• Monitor and uplift security posture and drive Secure Score and Compliance Score improvements by identifying risks and remediation actions.
• Follow ITIL-based processes for Incident, Problem, Change, and Security Event Management with proper documentation and governance.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation, troubleshooting records, and knowledge base articles to support continuous service improvement.
• Collaborate with L1, L3, and customer teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and adherence to service commitments.
• Demonstrates strong customer service, communication, and stakeholder management with regular updates on ticket progress and resolutions.

• Follow ITIL-based processes for Incident, Problem, Change, and Security Event Management while ensuring proper documentation and governance.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation, troubleshooting records, and knowledge base articles to support continuous service improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in Microsoft Security and Compliance technologies including Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Decent knowledge on Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager).
• Experience in managing Microsoft Purview compliance solutions including DLP policies, Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, Data Lifecycle Management, eDiscovery, Insider Risk Management, and Compliance Manager.
• Hands-on with supporting the Conditional Access policies, identity governance controls, MFA, and Zero Trust security initiatives within the Microsoft 365 environment.
