Job summary

Vertoz in Navi Mumbai is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to lead IT and cloud infrastructure initiatives and manage a team of systems engineers. You will drive design, deployment, and operation across Linux and Windows environments.

The role requires hands-on cloud architecture experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), IaC, DevOps practices, and strong leadership and communication. You will partner with Sales and cross‑functional teams to support cloud opportunities and ensure system

Qualifications

• 4–7 years hands‑on IT infrastructure experience.
• Pre‑sales knowledge including solutioning and PoCs.
• Strong networking fundamentals and virtualization understanding.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and DevOps.
• Leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Degree in Engineering/CS/IT or equivalent; cloud certifications are a plus.

What you will do:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the systems administration team; oversee task planning, performance evaluation, and skills development.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable & secure cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Collaborate with Sales/Pre-Sales teams to develop cloud solutions, deliver technical presentations, and contribute to RFP/RFQ responses.
• Administer and maintain Linux & Windows-based servers, ensuring system availability, security, and performance.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), configuration management, and automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.
• Manage containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker & Kubernetes.
• Perform capacity planning, cost optimization, resource provisioning, and infrastructure performance monitoring.
• Drive security and compliance initiatives, including patching, vulnerability management, and identity & access controls.

• Strong troubleshooting, system analysis, & problem‑resolution skills.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and people management skills.
• Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
• Preferred Certifications (Any or Multiple)
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) are a strong advantage.
• Exposure to monitoring technologies (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Datadog, etc.)
