Job summary

Sandisk is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to validate the AI software stack on a high-performance runtime system for a next-generation AI computational storage product. The role emphasizes scheduling, memory management, and execution of AI workloads.

You will build end-to-end tests for model execution workflows, run stress and performance tests, and contribute to automated validation pipelines and dashboards. Bengaluru-based, full-time position.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in systems software / runtime validation.
• Strong object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Experience with Linux system programming.
• Deep understanding of runtime scheduling, memory hierarchy, and DMA.

Responsibilities

• Validate runtime components: device init, queues, scheduling.
• Validate memory allocation, data movement, and DMA behavior.
• Build and execute performance benchmarks and profiling.
• Develop end-to-end tests for model execution workflows.
• Create automated validation pipelines and performance dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Validateruntime componentsincluding -Device initialization and lifecycle,Command dispatch and execution queues,Kernel scheduling and synchronization
• Validatememory allocation, data movementand DMA behavior, conduct memory leak detection and resource utilization analysis
• Build and executeperformance benchmarking -Latency (including time-to-first-result),Throughput and pipeline efficiency
• Perform stress, concurrency, andmulti-device scaling tests,profiling to identify performance bottlenecks
• Develop end-to-end tests formodel execution workflows,Execute and maintainsmoke and regression testsuites.Build automated validation pipelines and performance dashboards

Required Qualifications

• 4–6 yearsinsystems software / runtime validation
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) fundamentals (mandatory)
• Experience withLinux system programming
• Strong understanding of - Runtime systems, scheduling, execution models,Memory hierarchy, DMA, and parallel systems

Preferred

• Experience withprofiling/debugging tools (perf,gprof,VTune, etc.)
• Experience withAI/accelerator runtime stacks
• Exposure tomulti-device or distributed systems
• Familiarity withtracing and performance analysis frameworks
