Sandisk is seeking a Staff Test Engineer – Linux Kernel Driver Testing in Bengaluru to define and lead validation for next‑generation AI storage products. You will drive testing for PCIe kernel drivers, performance, and stability across diverse device configurations.
The role demands 8–12 years' experience in Linux kernel/driver validation or development with strong C/C++ and kernel‑level skills. On-site, you’ll shape validation strategy and ensure release readiness.

We are seeking aStaff Test Engineer – Linux Kernel Driver Testingto define and lead validation of kernel drivers for anext-generation AI computational storage product.
Key Responsibilities
Define validation strategy forLinux kernel drivers (PCIe devices) &Establishrelease readiness and qualification criteria
Lead testing of:Interrupthandling,DMA flows,MMIO interactions andMulti-device configurations
Drivesmoke, regression, and stress validation strategy
Establishperformance benchmarking for driver and I/O paths
Perform and guidekernel-level profiling and performance analysis
Utilize and drive adoption ofLinux observability tools like ftrace,systrace, perf,procfs(/proc) andsysfs(/sys)
Ensurememory correctness, leak detection, and resource stability
Validatedriver reliability under stress and corner-case conditions
Debug complex issues acrosskernel, runtime, and firmware layers
Required Qualifications
8–12 yearsinLinux kernel/driver validation or development
Deep experience with:PCIe subsystem,Kernel internals, DMA and memory management
Expertise inC/C++ and kernel-level programming
Preferred
Experience withkernel profiling, tracing, and performance tuning
Strong familiarity withLinux observability tools (ftrace,systrace, perf,procfs/sysfs)
Experience withhigh-performance devices (accelerators, storage, networking)
Exposure toqueue-based device models (NVMe-like architectures)
