Job summary

SynapseIndia is seeking an experienced Shopify Developer to build, customize, and optimize Shopify stores for clients. You will implement Liquid templates, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and ensure high performance and SEO.

Collaboration with design and marketing teams is essential to deliver brand-aligned storefronts. You will also handle theme customization, app integrations, and development of custom features, with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Shopify development and theme customization, aligned with SSE-level expectations.
• Proficient in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Familiar with Shopify Plus (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of responsive design and front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
• Experience with Shopify APIs for custom integrations and app development.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Experience with eCommerce Platforms: Hands-on experience in managing, updating, and optimizing eCommerce platforms, specifically Shopify.
• SEO & Performance Optimization: Understanding of SEO best practices for Shopify and optimization of load times for enhanced user experience.
• Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for design and user experience.
• BigCommerce Store Development: Build, maintain, customize, and optimize BigCommerce stores using Stencil, Handlebars, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant APIs.
