Job summary

YASH Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Semantic Developer - Power BI & Microsoft Fabric to design and deliver scalable analytics. You will build semantic models, Fabric lakehouses, and robust reporting solutions while optimizing performance.

You will collaborate with Business Analysts, validate KPIs, and support deployments across environments to ensure accurate insights for enterprise reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise semantic models with Power BI and Fabric.
• Strong knowledge of DAX, calculation groups, and performance tuning.
• Experience migrating from EDW to Snowflake/Fabric is a plus.
• Hands-on with Fabric Lakehouse and data modelling concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models and Fabric Lakehouses.
• Create reusable DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPI logic.
• Design and optimize datasets for enterprise reporting.
• Collaborate with analysts to translate business needs into models.
• Validate data and oversee deployments across SIT/UAT/Production.
• Ensure data reconciliation between sources and reports.

Position Summary

The Semantic Developer is responsible for the development, testing, deployment, and support of Power BI semantic models, Fabric Lakehouses, datasets, DAX measures, and reporting solutions. The role focuses on translating business requirements into scalable analytical models.

Key Responsibilities

Semantic Model Development

• Build and maintain Power BI Semantic Models.
• Develop reusable dimensions, facts, hierarchies, and relationships.
• Create and maintain DAX measures and calculated columns.
• Implement calculation groups and advanced analytical calculations.
• Develop optimized datasets for enterprise reporting.

Microsoft Fabric Development

• Build and consume Microsoft Fabric Lakehouses.
• Create semantic models using Fabric Warehouse and Lakehouse data.
• Develop Direct Lake, Import, and Composite models.
• Support data ingestion and transformation requirements.

Reporting Enablement

• Partner with Business Analysts to understand reporting needs.
• Design datasets for Power BI report developers.
• Create reusable KPI and metric calculations.
• Support dashboard and report validation.

Performance Optimization

• Optimize DAX queries and dataset performance.
• Implement aggregation tables and incremental refresh.
• Troubleshoot refresh failures and report performance issues.

Data Validation & Testing

• Reconcile data between legacy EDW and Snowflake/Fabric.
• Support SIT, UAT, and Production deployments.
• Validate KPI calculations and reporting outputs.
