Job summary

OpenText, the information company, is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Hyderabad, India. The role focuses on delivering complex software solutions using Java, JavaScript, and OpenText technologies within an agile, test-driven environment.

You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software, collaborating across teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery while continually improving code quality and performance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of enterprise product development experience with strong hands-on Java expertise.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Oscript, HTML/DHTML and modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or BackboneJS.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, XML, and web services.
• Good knowledge of SQL, databases, data modeling, and technical design.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps tools, Agile methodologies, testing, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of Twelve-Factor App methodology and software development lifecycle.
• Content Management / Oscript experience is a plus.
• Experience with OpenText products is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

YOUR IMPACT

As a Senior Software Developer, you will utilize superior knowledge and experience to perform highly complex product design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting, and other programming activities. These would cut across various systems and devices. You will be actively participating and contributing to analysis, design, planning, processes, etc., Raise issues where needed and create sensitivity towards timely resolution of problems. You will be working with agile development methodologies and test-driven development. Your strong technical and analytical skills will be critical in resolving complex defects and customer challenges.

What The Role Offers

• Should be able to independently develop complex software.
• Responsible for timely delivery as agreed within the project without compromising on product quality
• Takes ownership of code quality. Actively and effectively reviews source code, takes defect prevention steps in software developed.
• Able to provide bottom up estimates for the assigned parts of work
  Interacts well with peers and communicates in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written on his/her work.
• Actively participate and contribute to analysis, design, planning, processes, etc., Raise issues where needed and create sensitivity towards timely resolution of problems.
  Adopt agile development methodologies and test-driven development.

What You Need To Succeed

• 6+ years of enterprise product development experience with strong hands-on Java expertise.
