Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering – Understand and document detailed business needs related to controlling and finance processes.
• Responsible for creating technical designs and functional specifications.
• System Configuration – Configure SAP FICO modules based on business requirements, including organizational structures, invoicing, tax conditions, and product costing processes.
• Implementation Support – Participate in design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support for enhancements and projects.
• Integration with related areas – Integration of SAP FICO with other modules such as MM, SD, Services (service orders), and PP. Demonstrate understanding of the business processes and functional knowledge of several SAP modules.
• Issue Resolution – Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues related to SAP FICO functionality, including data discrepancies and system errors.
• User Training – Develop end‑user training materials on SAP FICO functionalities and best practices.
• Documentation – Create functional specifications and technical documentation for FICO configuration and developments.
• Effectively communicate with business and other functional analysts to understand and deliver on given requirements.
• Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with process owners, functional and technical team members, and users.
• Mandatory English language proficiency.
• Must be available to work some U.S. hours.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of SAP S/4 HANA Private Cloud and Fiori for the FICO modules. We are more interested in the controlling side of FICO, but must also have working experience in FI.
• Controlling: Product Cost Controlling (e.g., moving average vs standard), reporting in COPA, Enterprise Controlling – Consolidation, Fixed Assets, etc.
• Finance: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking.
• Credit Management.
• 10+ years in SAP FICO with hands‑on experience in analysis, technical design, configuration, and testing.
• Experience with cross‑country and company‑code finance processes, sub‑contracting, and drop‑shipment integrations.
• Knowledge of SAP integration points with other modules such as MM, SD, PP, and Services.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with business stakeholders.
• Experience with SAP FICO in the automotive industry desired.
• Must have knowledge or expertise in interfaces and integration to external platforms from SAP FICO, such as the use of APIs.
• Strategic thinking, superior problem‑solving skills, and a strong professional track record of results.
• Very strong communication skills in English.
